Intro to Astrology
Join us for a workshop covering the basics of astrology and how to read your chart, led by Avery of Sang Astrology. If you can, find out your time of birth before the workshop so we can get you an accurate chart.

Avery’s view is that a good understanding of the root systems of astrology can be grounding. Astrology, at its core, is about understanding the powers and patterns at play in our lives. When looking at an astrological chart as a whole, with tried and trusted techniques in hand, you can unpack a lot of information that holds true. They also believe that it’s important to be careful to hold your experiences of reality above your astrological interpretations, and to adjust your understanding of astrology to match what is happening in reality. In this workshop, Avery will help you develop your own understanding of your astrological chart.
Avery practices western tropical Hellenistic astrology. This tradition originated in Hellenistic Greek around the first century B.C.E., with its own roots in ancient Mesopotamia. They are also familiar with and incorporate more modern astrology techniques.

Screen Printing Workshop
Meet Lyndi!
Lyndi Perry owns and manages Woodsy Art Cafe and is a passionate DIY-er. She’s been doing textile arts of different varieties for over 20 years and learned screen printing as a band coach for Rock Camp for Girls/Youth in Salt Lake City. Watching kids use transparency sheets to print the lovely logos they designed on tee shirts instilled an extra sense of wonder in the process. Lyndi now uses the same process to create layered multimedia art pieces as well as DIY merch for any entrepreneurial effort her kids imagine—and she promises you can too!
Screen printing can feel like absolute magic! Join Lyndi Perry as she introduces screen printing basics with two projects for the price of one workshop. Click HERE for tickets!
The first project uses low-cost, home-made techniques to produce a simple, single color screen print that DIY punk rock and garage bands have used since the beginning of the movement. We’ll supply bananas to practice but it would be a great opportunity to print band merch, family reunion tees, or matching “brunch bunch” sweaters for the whole gang.
Then, with Andy Warhol as the inspiration, we’ll use a photoemulsion process to create a more permanent, photographic-based screen that can be used to create fine art prints on paper. Once the screen is cured, you’ll have time to play with some layers and then take the screen home, alongside some leftover supplies, to practice different ways of creating prints at home.

Pixel Animation Workshop
Come learn the basics of animating your own pixel art video game character.
Learn the fundamentals of creating beautiful pixel art, designing characters, and animating sprites for video games. Using the free tool, Piskel, students will design their own pixel art character and create a basic idle animation while learning core techniques for working at a small scale.

Lovers Karaoke / Breakup Karaoke
This Friday, YOU are the live music act! Join us for an hour of ooey gooey love songs (7-8 pm). Then stick around for an hour of epic break up songs (8-9 pm)! There will be traditional karaoke sign ups as well as a few live band sing along songs. After 9 pm we’ll open it up to anyone with a song in their heart and a functioning headphone jack to link their phone up to our sound system. See you soon!

His career has been dedicated to teaching and preserving Indigenous perspective and history. Come chat with Darren as he tells us about his latest book, Tending the Sacred: How Indigenous Wisdom Will Save the World.
